BIOGRAPHY

 Karin Locke got her first camera at the age of 8, a flashy hot pink Concord 110 film camera. She spent entire days outside taking pictures of cats, plants, and her sister (who, funnily enough, became a fashion model in her late teens).

Art was always Karin's favourite class, and when that terrifying moment known as high school graduation came, she decided to continue the study of her favourite subject. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA in Art & Design 4 years later.

Karin got her start after university as a school portrait photographer with Josten's successor Lifetouch Portrait Studios, then moved on to work for Edmonton-based media agency Play It By Ear Productions. Today, Karin Locke is a freelance photographer and graphic designer located in Edmonton, Alberta. Her passion is photographing people, whether it be at events, in the studio, or while pursuing the latest conceptual shoot she's planned. Karin is an ideas person. Her designs are crisp, colourful and clean, and she truly enjoys the creative process, especially brand development.

Event Photography: $100 per hour | Special hourly rates available for non-profit events.

Studio/On-Location Portrait Sessions: $150 for the first hour | $100 for each additional hour
Digital copies of your retouched images available on CD for $50.
